Helmistik 1685 is a solvent-based synthetic rubber (neoprene) contact adhesive formulated for high-performance applications in cabinet making, countertop fabrication, and millwork assembly. Available in pressurized canisters from 11 to 355 lbs, this amber-colored adhesive delivers consistent coverage and a 60-minute open time, making it ideal for complex lamination projects and large-scale fabrication work across Canada.
Helmistik 1685 bonds HPL, particleboard, MDF, OSB, plywood, steel, rigid plastics, and urethanes. The adhesive is not recommended for vinyl substrates. Application temperature must be 18°C or higher (recommended 21°C+). Verify substrate compatibility and environmental conditions before large-scale deployment.
