Product Overview
Helmitherm 497 is a clear, unfilled, high-performance, fast-setting EVA edgebanding hot melt adhesive designed to run cleanly at high speeds while resisting discoloration in the glue pot. The clear, unfilled formulation delivers improved mileage versus filled hot melts, reduces build-up, and is significantly less abrasive on machinery and tooling for reduced maintenance costs.
Optimized for high-speed automated edgebanders running 16 to 50 m/min, the 497 delivers fast setting for maximum throughput with clean running that eliminates post-processing cleanup of finished parts. Best suited for dark-toned and black substrates where a clear glue line is essential. For white and light-toned panels, consider the Helmitherm 498 Seamless White.
