Overview
HELMIBOND PU 885 is a low activation temperature, one-part waterborne polyurethane adhesive designed for membrane pressing and vacuum forming of thermoplastic foils. Formulated for the manufacture of kitchen cabinet doors, furniture components, and other 3D applications, it requires no hardener mixing and offers an extended pot life. The low activation temperature makes it particularly suitable for thin foils and overlays. This 5 Gallon pail is ideal for small-to-medium production runs or shops with lower throughput requirements.
One-part system — no hardener required. Apply via HVLP spray gun with minimum 0.055” (1.4 mm) fluid tip at approximately 3 wet mils. Substrates and adhesive should be 18 °C (65 °F) or warmer; best results above 22 °C (72 °F). Also available in 210 KG Drum (SKU 8006).
