Helmistik 1685 is a premium solvent-based contact adhesive spray formulated from synthetic rubber (polychloroprene) for professional and portable bonding applications. The 17 OZ aerosol delivers consistent spray coverage of 25–35 ft² per can with a generous 60-minute open time, allowing precision alignment of high-pressure laminate, particleboard, MDF, and wood substrates. Flash-off occurs in 2–3 minutes with full cure in 24–72 hours, making it ideal for countertop lamination, cabinet fabrication, millwork assembly, and on-site furniture bonding.
Helmistik 1685 bonds exceptionally well to HPL, particleboard, MDF, OSB, plywood, steel, rigid plastics, and urethane surfaces. NOT recommended for vinyl or soft flexible substrates. Optimal application temperature is 21°C (70°F) or higher.
